After studying western art history at the educational institution of Christie’s, a U.K. auction company, she became an exhibition assistant at the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum. Currently, she reports on and writes about art and design for magazines and online media. Hasegawa is a member of the Society for the Study of Japonisme.
