Born in Kochi Prefecture in 1982. Dropped out of Meiji Gakuin University. Drawing on her interest in gender, sexuality, feminism, and queer theory, she writes about movies, TV dramas, plays, and novels. She has contributed articles to i-D Japan, wezzy, Kinema Shunpo, GINZA, Gendai Shiso, Shincho, Subaru, and appeared on the programs of TBS Radio Station such as Chiki Ogigami Session and After 6 Junction. She is the co-author of the book "Terebi wo Minai to Iukeredo (They say 'I don't watch TV,' but)" (Seikyusha).
