Born in Shiga Prefecture in 2001, Rikako Yagi made her debut after winning the Grand Prix at the #THENEXT Age Across Model Audition 2015 held in November 2015. In 2016, she was featured as an icon in Otsuka Pharmaceutical's beverage Pocari Sweat. In the Netflix original series First Love, to be released in 2022, Yagi plays the younger version of Noe Noguchi, a lead character played primarily by Hikari Mitsushima.
